Ampango na (ou ; or) ampangoro

  • Vary masaka koko noho ny namany, ka manitra ary miraikitra amin’ny vodivilany sy ny vatany rehefa loarana.
  • Du riz brulé et odorant qui reste colle au fond une fois le riz enlevé de la marmite.

  • Vary ahandroina miaraka amin’ny ronono . Indraindray tondrahana tantely sy ampiarahana amin’ny toho masaka rehefa hanokana trano vao vita ka honenana .
  • Du riz cuit avec du lait. Quelquefois arrosé de miel et accompagné de Toho (type de poisson) cuit, lors de l’inauguration d’une nouvelle habitation.
  • A kind of rice pudding : rice cooked in Sometimes honey is poured over it. Eaten with cooked toho ( a special kind of fish) when a newly-built house is inaugurated.

Kombam-bary

  • Vary notothina ho vonony atao sakafo omena ny zaza na ny olona marary .Azo anaovana mofo ihany koa ( mofo gasy)
  • Poudre de riz pour servir de repas au bébé ou au malade. On peut en faire du beignet.
  • Rice pound into flour used as food for children or sick people. Also used to make pastry (Malagasy cake, etc…).

 

Kolokolo dimbin’vary

  • Vary efa nojinjaina ka mbola maniry indray ny foto-bary ary mamoa fa tsy manome vokatrafiry intsoiny.
  • Plante de riz qui pousse encore après la moisson et peut produire mais plus comme avant.
  • Rice plants already cropped but still growing and producing scarce output.

 

Santa-bary

  • Lanonana fanao rehefa mampakatra vary avy nojinjaina voalohany. Fehezany iray no atolotra. Misy mametraka izany eo anjorofirazana. Misy kosa manolotra ho an’ny manampahefana ambony tonga manatrika ny lanonana.
  • Fête de réjouissance pendant la première moisson. Les uns mettent une gerbe de riz au coin des ancêtres chez eux. D’autre l’offrent aux autorités qui assistent à la fête.
  • Festival to celebrate the fitrs rice harvest. One sheafis to be offered. Some people place it on the ancestors’corner in their home.Other people offer it to the authorites who attend the festival.

Vary arahana

  • Vary vao avy nojinjaina dia endasina fa tsy ahahy mba andrahoina hohanina.
  • Du riz qui vient d’être moissonné, grillé mais pas séché pour être cuit et manger.
  • Rice that has just been harvested, grilled but not dried to be cooked and eaten.

Vary iray venty

  • Vary indray mandroaka amin’ny felantanana.
  • Une poignée du riz.
  • A handful of rice.

Sosoa

  • Vary nahandroina natao be rano ,tsy ritina.
  • Du riz cuit avec beaucoup d’eau.
  • Soft rice (cooked in a lot ofwater).

Vary amin’anana

  • Vary nahandro miaraka ami’ny karazana anana notetitetehina.
  • Riz cuit avec des brèdes hachées.
  • Rice cooked with hashed greens (edible leans) .

Vary amin-boatelo

  • Vary ahandroina miaraka amin’ny voa hafa ( tsaramaso)
  • Du riz cuit avec d’autres grains (haricot,)
  • Rice cooked with hashed greens ( beans..)

Varibemenaka

  • Vary … masaka loarano an-danonana, ifampizarana miaraka amin’ny henan’omby na kisoa matavy.
  • Riz distribuée avec de la viande grasse de bœuf ou de porc ai cours d’une fête.
  • Cooked rice distributed with fat beef or park at festivals.

 

Vary maina

  • Vary nahandroina ho ritina ka ahazoana ampango.
  • Du riz cuit jusqu’à évaporation complète de l’eau de façon à laisser du riz brule au fond de la marmite.
  • Rice cooked until the water has evaporated and leaves some brunt rice at the bottom of.

Ventin’ampango

  • Rehefa vonton-drano tsara ny ampango dia loarana ka hanina atao tsindrin-tsakafo
  • Riz brulé gorgé d’eau et servi comme dessert.
  • Burnt rice softneed with water and served as dessert.
